Looking for a Childbirth Education Class? I have you covered! June 4th at 7pm we start our spring session! This is available to anyone across Canada but there is some really great Saskatchewan specific information. We will be covering pregnancy, labour and birth, comfort techniques, interventions, early postpartum, and breastfeeding! This class covers all types of birth and has a comprehensive section on cesarean sections and comfort techniques for cesareans! Class will run for 6 weeks, every Friday, at 7pm. Johanna Goetz, a CAPPA Certified Labour and Postpartum Doula, has been working with families for over four years helping them meet their parenting goals! Partners are encouraged to join, but not required. This class is also a great option for grandparents looking to brush up on the latest evidence-based newborn care information to better support their children as they welcome the next generation! This is a peer to peer support group facilitated by Prairie Legacy Family Services. The goal of the group is to provide a safe space for people who feel they have suffered birth trauma to talk about and heal from their experience. Babies in arms are welcome. Thirty percent of women are having a cesarean. Many of those having a cesarean know ahead of time! This class is specifically geared towards families planning for a cesarean. Whether it is your first cesarean or you are planning a repeat cesarean and you want to create a more personal experience we have you covered! In this 2 hour class, we will cover what is involved in a cesarean, your potential options, and postpartum recovery! We are so excited to announce that we will be running the Prairie Legacy Pregnancy and Postpartum Summit again in October!
